TracePrep Modules
Traceprep modules contain groups of related
seismic processes, providing a simple upgrade path for existing Traceprep
installations. Traceprep users need purchase only the modules they need with
the option to upgrade later.
Each module is a self contained dynamic link library, which is loaded by
the Traceprep main program
- TPBase - Input, viewer, scaling, bandpass
filtering and output
- TPUtl - General processing utilities
- TPWave - Wavelet processing
- TP2DF - 2 dimensional filtering
- TPMig - Migration
- TPView Seismic Viewer
TPBase
Traceprep is supplied as a minimum configuration, with the
TPBase module, enabling its use as a multiple window
seismic viewer with RMS scaling, mixing, bandpass filtering and output of
traces to file.
- INFILE - input from SEG-Y or Lynx trace file
- MIX - n-trace weighted mix
- OUTFILE - output to Lynx trace file
- BPFILT - fixed band pass filter
- RMS - Root mean square trace amplitude balance
TPUtl - Utility Processes
The TPUtl module contains a set of utility
processes for performing basic operations for "cleaning up" seismic data, such
as raw stacks, or traces vectorised from paper sections (see Lynx Explortion
Archivist SSV Seismic scanning and Vectorizing program).
- AGC - Automatic gain control
- LBINSERT - insert labels into trace headers
- LENGTH - change trace length by adding or removing samples
- MUTE - trace mute. Apply or save mutes to file, auto mute by
threshold
- RESAMP - resample traces in time
- RESPACE - spatially resample traces
- SHIFT - applies space variant time shifts
- SPINSERT - insert shotpoints into trace headers
- TVFILT - time variant bandpass filter
- TVSCALE - time variant amplitude scaling
- XYCOORD - insert and extract X-Y coordinates in trace headers
- RESPACE - resample traces in space
TPWave - Wavelet Processing
The TPWave module contains seismic
1-dimensional wavelet processing and deconvolution. Includes Autocorrelation
test which can be used for analysis prior to 2-window Wiener predictive or zero
phase deconvolution.

TPMig - Migration
The TPMig module provides Kirchhoff and Finite
difference 2-D migration using time and spatially variant velocities.

TP2DF - Two Dimensional Filtering
Processes for 2 dimensional dip filtering and noise suppression are
provided in the TP2DF module
- XTFILT Recursive time-space domain dip filter
- FXDECON Frequency-space domain prediction filter
- FKFILT Frequency-Wavenumber domain filter (under
development)
TPView - Seismic Viewer
Multiple window viewing of 2D seismic sections as Variable Area, wiggle
trace , VA/Wiggle, greyscale and colour displays. Viewers can be deployed
anywhere in a Traceprep process list, for "before and after" comparisons of
processed data.
TPXFer - Transfer data to/from other formats
