Introduction

The LEA Well Log and Well Log Curve Objects read information from standard wireline log formats, and both objects are implemented by the file WLOGCOM.DLL.

Wireline Log Formats

The following formats can be recognised:

• LAS
• LIS - each physical file may contain a number of logical files.
• LIS-TIF - each physical file may contain a number of logical files.

Well Log Object Attributes

The Well Log Object treats the well as an entity, and returns information The following attributes are read from wireline log files.

• Well Name
• Top Depth
• Bottom Depth
• Sampling Interval
• Number of Traces
• Trace Names - a list of all curves
• Latitude (decimal degrees)
• Longitude (decimal degrees)

These attributes are defined in the INI file WLOGOBJ.INI.

Well Log Curve Object Attributes

The Well Log Curve Object returns information for each curve in each run/logical file

• Well Name
• Curve Name
• Top Depth
• Bottom Depth
• Sampling Interval
• Latitude
• Longitude

These attributes are defined in the INI file WLOGCRV.INI

Wireline Log Viewer

The default viewer for wireline log data is LOGVIEW
